Zoe Saldana has experience with ADHD and dyslexia. Zoe is an actress; her breakthrough came in 2009 with roles in Star Trek and James Cameron’s Avatar. Saldana continued her career with films such as Colombiana (2011), Star Trek into Darkness (2013), Out of the Furnace (2013), Star Trek Beyond (2016), and Live by Night (2016). She also portrays Gamora in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018).
Saldana was born in Passaic, New Jersey. Her father was Dominican while her mother is Puerto Rican. Saldana also has Lebanese and Haitian roots. With regard to her ethnicity, Saldana stated, “There’s no one way to be black. I’m black the way I know how to be.”
