Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy
Evidence-based ABA therapy that helps children build social, behavioral, and daily living skills.
What Is ABA Therapy?
Applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy is an evidence-based approach that helps children learn developmental skills and reduce behaviors that interfere with everyday life. ABA therapy uses individualized strategies to build skills that can improve a child’s independence and overall quality of life.
Our BCBAs work with psychologists, physicians, psychiatrists, and speech and language therapists to provide comprehensive care.
About Our ABA Therapy
The Autism Clinical Center provides evidence-based applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy tailored to each child and family.
ABA therapy can help children:
- Enhance communication and language skills
- Build play and social skills
- Increase independence in daily routines and self-care
- Improve flexibility and coping skills
- Reduce behaviors that interfere with everyday life
We offer individual treatment, parent-mediated interventions, and intensive treatment when appropriate.
ABA Treatment Approaches
Our ABA services are tailored to each child’s age, developmental needs, and goals. Caregivers are also actively involved in treatment to help children use new skills in everyday life.
Early Childhood (Ages 1–8)
Programs for young children ages 1–8 focus on developing foundational communication, play, social, and behavioral skills that are important for later skill development. Targeted programs are also available for common challenges, including toilet training, sleep, and picky eating.
Children (8–12)
For children ages 8–12, individualized ABA programs can help improve disruptive or inflexible behavior, address social skills challenges, and build adaptive skills for daily living.
Teens and Young Adults (13–26)
ABA services are also available for teens and young adults who need specialized support developing independence and building daily living, home, community, and vocational skills.
Our team works with school personnel and other providers to create consistency in treatment and help children use their skills across settings.
Caregivers’ Role
Families are an integral part of our ABA programs. During direct one-on-one teaching sessions between the BCBA and child, caregivers are actively involved and learn techniques they can use at home and in the community.
We also offer parent-mediated interventions and parent-only coaching. Caregivers meet regularly with our BCBAs, either in person or virtually, to receive guidance and learn strategies that support behavioral change and developmental growth.
