Help your teen make and keep friends with this evidence-based social skills program
The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) for Teens, offered through the Autism Clinical Center, is a 14-week evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated teens in middle and high school to help them make and keep friends. During each group session, teens are taught essential communication skills and are given the opportunity to practice with peers. Parents attend separate sessions and are taught how to assist their teens by helping to expand their teen’s social network and provide feedback through coaching during weekly socialization homework assignments.
The PEERS® Program for Teens equips teens with essential social skills and empowers families to support their growth. Benefits include but are not limited to:
Teens learn to navigate social situations in a supportive environment, from starting conversations to resolving conflicts.
Parents gain tools to coach their teens and support social development at home.
Teens practice making and keeping friends through structured group activities with peers.

*Includes free pre-screening
A free 30-minute pre-screening with an assessment for group readiness will occur before admission into the group is confirmed. If accepted into the program, there will be a $150 application processing fee. A minimum of 7 participants is required. The group is capped at 10 participants.
Teens with social or behavioral challenges, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, or social pragmatic communication disorder. Parent participation is required.

If a child cannot attend and we are notified at least 7 days prior to the start date of the program we will issue a refund, excluding a $300 non-refundable deposit for administrative fees. At the time of registration full payment is required to reserve a space. If less than 7 days notification is given, no refund will be provided.
