The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) for Young Adults is a 16-week evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated young adults to help them make and keep friends. During each group session, group members are taught essential communication skills and are given the opportunity to practice with peers. Parents, caregivers, or a designated social coach attend separate sessions and are taught how to support social network growth and provide feedback through coaching during weekly socialization homework assignments.
Who
PEERS® is for young adults (18-29) who have:
Social/behavioral challenges
Autism spectrum disorder
ADHD
Social pragmatic communication disorder
Parents, caregiver or other support persons may serve as social coach in young adult group.

Learn conversational skills
Learn to initiate and host get-togethers
Learn to navigate and appropriately use electronic communication
Learn to talk with peers on a variety of topics
Learn to solve social conflict and resolve disagreements

Additional Information
A pre-screening with an assessment for group readiness will occur before admission into the group is confirmed. If accepted into the program, there will be a $150 application processing fee.
A minimum of 7 participants is required. The group is capped at 10 participants.
