Project ImPACT

Project ImPACT (Improving Parents as Communication Teachers) is an evidence-based early intervention program for children ages 1 to 8 years with social communication delays. It provides parents:

  • Strategies to improve core social communication skills within a developmental framework.
  • A combination of developmental and ABA teaching strategies integrated into play and daily routines.
  • Effective parenting coaching and child engagement strategies that parents can use at home with their child.

Project ImPACT consists of 24 sessions delivered to both parent and child through either individual or group coaching models. Sessions concentrate on helping parents build strategies to teach their child new social communication and play skills while also managing their child’s behavior.
