The Gund Learning and Diagnostic Center provides advanced, evidence-based solutions to help every child reach their full potential.
The Gund Learning and Diagnostic Center at the Child Mind Institute is advancing how we help children who learn differently. We are redefining the identification and treatment of learning disorders — ensuring that every child can thrive.
We get to the root of learning challenges, so we can help each child reach their full potential. Here’s how we’re leading the way:
Our specialized assessments provide clear, actionable reports with prioritized recommendations to empower families and educators. Each evaluation includes a thorough, user-friendly report outlining the child’s diagnosis and tailored next steps. We maintain ongoing communication with families, offering regular follow-ups to support the successful implementation of our recommendations.
Types of Evaluations
Our team is focused on addressing specific challenges related to dyslexia and nonverbal learning disability (NVLD), by tackling systemic barriers to effective diagnosis and treatment, and developing resources for parents and educators of children with learning struggles.
At our center, we recognize that every child is unique, with their own strengths and challenges. That’s why we take a personalized approach, carefully evaluating each child’s needs and developing individualized strategies to support their growth and success.

We are committed to the highest standards of care and innovation, and we empower families with parent training and resources they need to support their child at home.
Together, our psychiatrists, psychologists, neuropsychologists, social workers, speech-language pathologists, and board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs) have the expertise to ensure accurate diagnoses. We work with a community of scientists and researchers who keep our faculty up-to-date on current trends and best practices in the field.
Our team works closely with schools and families to support individualized education plans (IEPs), provide professional development, and offer parent training and workshops. We partner with teachers and school counselors to implement evidence-based strategies in the classroom.
